Who am I? | ||||||||||||||||||||
This is my first attempt at creating a webpage, so please be patient with me. My name is Heath Rush. I am a 20 year old musician. I live in Wisconsin and am currently taking voice lessons at Luther College in Decorah, IA. I went to Simpson College in Indianola, IA for about six months, then left the music scene for a while. Now I am back into it and in July 2000, I will be leaving for Italy, for what is to be my first Opera. Opera is not my only interest...for as you read further, you will find out that my true musical love is Broadway.....By the way, I sing tenor and also enjoy playing jazz trumpet. I once was the proud owner of a Bach Strad! Please take a moment to sign my Guestbook and let me know how my first page is coming along....

Family and Friends | ||||||||||||||||||||
I was born on November 8th, 1978 in Rockford, Ill. One brother, Tim. Tim is in the army now and is currently on mission in Germany. He will be there for three years. We've decided that when I get over to Italy, I will spend a couple weeks with him in Germany. My father works at 3M in Prairie Du Chien, WI and my mother is an excellent painter. She paints ceramics. I've tried to get her to take it somewhere, but she is comfortable with just having it as a hobby, but hey, who am I to argue? Friends, I've had many, both online and off. To those of you who are my dear friends, you know who you are, thank you for sticking with me, I can be a bit difficult at times. There's Brian, the only person I graduated with who I still keep in touch with......he even tapes my concerts for me. Jill, my high school choir director(and proud Desoto Pirate) , perhaps my dearest friend....what I would have ever done without her, I don't know. Amie, she has been my sole shoulder to lean on in my comming back into the music. She has helped me in so many ways. She even played for my concert I recently had in PDC, WI. People, if you want to know an excellent pianist, you gotta talk to this girl. Her boyfriend is also one of the neatest guys I have met. He's polite beyond belief. Amie and Douglas(her man) are both attending college. I wish them great fortunes as they strive for the best that they can be.Cara, the laughs with her are incredible.....how's Furby, Cara? That is just to name a few of the special people in my life, there are many more, but I'm afraid I would run out of room if I named them all. I would like to mention Tosca though. She is a two month old kitten that I found about a month ago starving in a rainstorm. I brought her in and now SHE is my BEST friend:) If I can figure this picture thing out, I will add a pic of her. She's adorable.
Words to live by:) | ||||||||||||||||||||
"Life is like music, lots of high notes and low notes" I've just recently come to realize that there is always a second chance in everything. My music once faded away, but given the moment, I grasped it and now I have it back. People should never give up on there dreams, no matter how unattainable they seem to be. Dreams are meant to be unattainable, that's why we call them dreams. And I believe it takes a special person to be able to go for them and discover. Though special, I think everyone can do it. Even a 40 year old factory worker. Never too old, too young, or too lost to find your way back to what you once wanted. The path is there, you just need to find it. Just ask Tosca if you don't believe me! Friends, they are perhaps the most important thing a person could have in their life. I once believed that the only person you needed in life was yourself. But I've come to realize that friends are something to be cherished. To my friends, may we look back on all the good times we shared and to the memories that won't ever leave. To the new people in my life, may we look forward to sharing lots of laughs, tears, hopes, and dreams together. For all those out there who I don't know and just kinda stumbled onto my page: live, laugh, and love. And of course listen to some good Broadway every now and then. Take a friend to the park. Count the stars with the one you love. Dance in the barefoot, sleep in the nude! Do anything that makes you happy........and listen to Broadway....ok, you can listen to some Opera too. Thank you for taking the time to visit my site and listening to me ramble on.Feel free to email me if you like. But I must warn, I try to stay away from internet psychos......so don't email me if you don't like music...lol CARA This is more about that Cara girl I referred to earlier on my page. She is someone whom I have grown quite fond of in the last months and am now truly in love with. I never dreamed that it would happen. Especially after my last few relationships. Cara and I have grown quite close and have told eachother things that we keep deep inside. She is an angel to me. I hope she reads this so she can see just how much I feel for her. My life will forever be changed because of the words that I heard from her this morning, leaving tears of happiness in my eyes. She will be 19 in a week and three days and attends school in Bloomington, IN. Cara, I love you....that will never change. Disney World, Aspen, anywhere, you just name the place and I'll be there all decked out in my tux. Let me sing to you as you sleep with your head on my shoulder. Let me rub your feet after a long day at work. Let me kiss the tears from your eyes, and the hot chocolate from your lips:) As you can all see, I am in love and am taken. She is the very essence of all the warmth in my heart....noone could ever give me what she has already given me. I love you Cara, now and forever!:)
